Local Government Support
The Wildlife Center receives support from just one municipality, the City of Hoover, in the Birmingham Metropolitan Area, yet 67% of our hotline calls and 77% of our animal cases come from Jefferson and Shelby Counties. The service that The Wildlife Center provides is invaluable to the local governments in the area. No one else provides this unique service and local city and county authorities have no where else to turn when citizens find injured or orphaned wildlife. If you have influential contacts in your city or county government, please contact The Wildlife Center Development Office at wildlife@awrc.org. The Development Office can provide you with a sample contract, such as the one used with the City of Hoover, a cover letter, and any other informational materials you may need to approach your contact(s) for support.
Corporate Support
The Wildlife Center only receives 2% of its funding from corporations in the community. There are many philanthropic companies in the Birmingham Area and they need to hear about The Wildlife Center. If you have contacts with any local corporations or would like to approach your company about supporting The Wildlife Center, please contact our Development Office at wildlife@awrc.org. The Wildlife Center Development Office can provide you with a Corporate Sponsorship Kit.
