Alabama's native wildlife need your help.
Each year the Alabama Wildlife Center receives nearly 2,500 wild birds, mammals and
reptiles that otherwise would have nowhere to go for help. Thousands more are
helped through our Emergency Hotline, which provides advice and information on
all kinds of wildlife problems for callers throughout Alabama. The Wildlife
Center is open daily for schools, scouts, and the general public to learn to
understand and appreciate Alabama's native wildlife.
The Wildlife Center is not a government
agency. Most of the work of the Wildlife Center comes from trained volunteers
who assist our small professional staff by providing help with animal care.
We are a private, non-profit organization funded mainly by
donations from our members. Membership dues make it possible for us to
pay for food, housing, and medical care for our wildlife patients. Won't you
join this group of caring individuals who realize the value of preserving and
protecting Alabama's precious natural heritage?
