CARING FOR ORPHANED BABY MAMMALS
You are invited to attend a training workshop on Saturday, October 6th, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the Care of Orphaned Baby Mammals. The Alabama Wildlife Center is Alabama’s oldest and largest wildlife rehabilitation center. Volunteers are needed to work at the Wildlife Center, and also to care for low-risk mammals such as squirrels and rabbits at home. These animals are not pets, but are raised by professional guidelines so that they can safely return to the wild. Topics covered include:
Registration for Workshops The Alabama Wildlife Center is located in the heart of Oak Mountain State Park. Participants should dress for comfort. For volunteers attending both the Raptor Workshop and the Orphaned Mammal Workshop, we will be providing complimentary sandwich fixings, chips, and drinks for lunch. You must be 18 to register. Please complete the registration before October 3, 2007 in order for us to plan for the written materials needed for the classes. ***If you prefer to register online, click here.***

*The registration fee is waived for active volunteers doing weekly shifts at the Wildlife Center. However, a $5 donation for lunch would be greatly appreciated.
