RAPTOR NETWORK WORKSHOP
The Alabama Wildlife Center is currently recruiting new volunteers to join the Center’s State-wide Raptor Network. You are invited to attend a training workshop on Saturday, October 6th, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the Rescue, Emergency Care and Transport of Birds of Prey.
The Alabama Wildlife Center is Alabama’s oldest and largest wildlife rehabilitation center. In 2006 the Center rescued and cared for 425 injured or orphaned birds of prey from 35 Alabama counties. Trained Raptor Network volunteers living in the area where the birds are found assist in transporting the birds to the Wildlife Center. Often, the same volunteers return the birds to their original habitat for release. Registration for Workshops
The Alabama Wildlife Center is located in the heart of Oak Mountain State Park. Participants should dress for comfort. For volunteers attending both the Raptor Workshop and the Orphaned Mammal Workshop, we will be providing complimentary sandwich fixings, chips, and drinks for lunch. You must be 18 to register.
Please complete the registration before October 3, 2007 in order for us to plan for the written materials needed for the classes.

The registration fee for each Workshop is $15.* Please mail registration form with your check payable to the Alabama Wildlife Center. My check for $ is enclosed.

*The registration fee is waived for active volunteers doing weekly shifts at the Wildlife Center. However, a $5 donation for lunch would be greatly appreciated.
